Vegetable Shares

Share options and prices

We offer two certified organic vegetable share options both of which include a 10% discount at our market stand for the whole year:

Weekly Share (18 deliveries)
- $530 (registered before March 1st, 2014)
- $550 (registered on or after March 1st, 2014)

Depending on the eating habits of the family the Share feeds 1 to 2 adults and possibly 1-2 children. We have seen Single shares feed a family of 4 and we have seen a Single Share feed a single vegetarian.


Bi-Weekly Share (9 deliveries)
- $290 (registered before March 1st, 2014)
- $305 (registered on or after March 1st, 2014)

Same size as above but delivered every other week.


What’s in a weekly basket

The variety of vegetables in the weekly basket depends upon the successes and failures of the growing season. We grow many varieties of approximately 50 kinds of vegetables and herbs, so if some varieties are having a rough season there are others in their place. In any given week there are 7-14 different items in each basket. As the season progresses the baskets swell in volume and variety. Please see our newsletters section for a clearer picture of what was offered when in previous years


Typical seasonal shares

We offer 2 share options (weekly and bi-weekly) that contain the same amount and varieties of vegetables. Below is a list of what these shares contain depending on the time of year.

End of June - early July:

Lettuce, Arugula, Radishes, Scallions, Baby Turnips, Swiss Chard, Kohlrabi, Sugar Snap Peas, Basil, Garlic shoots, Kale, Asian greens.

Mid to late July:

Lettuce, Tatsoi, Arugula, Cucumbers,Swiss Chard, Summer Cabbage, Bush beans(4 colours), Cress, Summer squash, Broccoli, Carrots, Beets, Pac Choi, Cauliflower, Herbs, Peppers, Scallions, Cippolini onions

August:

Lettuce,Cress, Mizuna, new Potatoes, Tomatoes, Eggplant, Sweet peppers, Summer Squash , Summer Leeks, Beans, Cippolini onions, muskmelon, Chervil, Cauliflower, Fennel, Sweet Onions, Garlic.

September - October:

Lettuce, Arugula, Chicory frisée, Radicchio, Garlic,Winter cabbage, Carrots, Fingerling potatoes, Winter squash, Kale, Spinach, Leeks, Storage onions, Tomatoes, Hot peppers, Ground cherries, Celery root, Apples, Tomatillos Parsnip, Parsley Root, Brussel Sprouts, Sweet Potato.
